Last Saturday afternoon, we were pummeled by 100% chance of NO RAIN in the forecast. OK, worded that alittle funky. Let me explain. There was no chance of rain in the forecast on Saturday, the sun was supposed to be shining, I was supposed to be relaxing, sunning myself, enjoying the fact that I could get all dressed up in my new sundress and bonnet, (become a real girly, girl) and bask in all the glory of a Saturday afternoon with ladies, casually vineyard hopping.
Well it didn't quite happen as planned. We ended receiving up to 4 inches in places. In a time span of aprox..1.5 hours, now that's what you call a HARD CORE DOWNPOUR, (I would take a picture of all the gorgeous flowers that I planted this spring that were demolished, but its just so darn depressing for me to consistently look at, please excuse me while I shed a tear.) AND, back to the subject at hand, sorry. We were trapped like prisnors in our own homes. Only 1 of the 53 gravel roads going to our house, could be traveled on. The wind was howling, the branches were wiping against each other, and my poor Ty baby was worried that the torondo of 2 years ago was about ready to resurface. Thankfully the twister decided to spare our area for the time being. This picture was taken the following morning after the storm.
